Toulouse la ville rose
The warm glow of red bricks and tiles gives Toulouse its nickname, "La ville rose" (the pink city). Toulouse was the home of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944), most famous for his book Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince). Ville Rose? I never knew that!
And I used to walk by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's apartment in Paris (place Vauban) quite often.

Ah, well I have a copy of The Little Prince on my shelves here. La Ville Rose is a gorgeous thing to be known by.

Which is probably a better thing to know Toulouse by than an old, forgotten anglophone joke about French cities not to buy clothes in:Toulouse (too loose) and Toulon (too long)

    Or Toulouse-Lautrec.

This is beautiful and has lots of history. Then I just looked at the date and today is actually March 1st :) and there is no graffiti. Have a great week-end.
